Very interesting information on the group DNCall. I remember the sleeve or insert for the record had a picture of all the members on it. I couldn't find it but I'm pretty sure it's around somewhere. One the back up singers you mention went to the congregation I went to in Anaheim in the mid to late 70's. I was friends with her and then with her second husband when she remarried but lost contact with them like I did with everyone else when I left the organization around 80 or 81.

I'm not sure if it was the same group you're thinking about Dagney because I happen to know that you knew or still know someone that was in the group that did this record. It probably never came up in conversation because I heard that the Watchtower put the kibosh on it and also because of another sad circumstance.
The song on the other side of the 45 was Lola Lee and was secular and a better song.

You don't go there for the food you go there for the fun...... Not much of that either. I must be thinking of something else.

Just Got Dubbed..
by snugglebunny inso there i was earlier today, enjoying a spot of lunch in a pleasant little cafe whilst out shopping, when up came a fella i vaguely recognised from the dim and distant past just as i was tucking into my highland soup with bread roll and butter..
"i would never ignore you you know".. "eh?
what" i ventured wondering wtf is this all about.

So if my calculations are correct SnuggleBunny you left about three years before the world was supposed to end. Forty plus years after that fiasco this guy is still there hanging around the Kingdom Hall sucking up the latest lies. You're still here enjoying your soup. Still no sign of Jehovah's magic kingdom. I wonder if it ever crosses his mind how he has wasted his life chasing a ridiculous fantasy.

I was wondering what the meeting was about myself. I thought they might be announcing a new line of snack foods to be sold from their witnessing carts. They might as well do something useful while they're out there was wasting their day counting time.

"Is prayer more powerful the more people who pray for you - kind of like a popularity contest? "Sorry, God will not answer your prayer because you only got 50 people to pray whilst your neighbor will be helped because she got 500".
Kind of reminds me of Facebook. Does God work on "likes" system. "If I can get 5000 likes I'll help this person"

One thing over the years social media has made me painfully aware of is how many times I see someone use the phrase "I'll pray for you" and the outcome is bad. Recently a friend of mine who at one time was my manager where I worked got cancer. A lot of people were praying for him. He had one chemo treatment and he was gone.
A while back I had to go to the hospital for some test. No big deal I'm fine but at the time my sister who goes to church regularly said she was praying for me. A very cynical though came into my head. " It was please don't. The last few people you prayed for are now dead". I didn't say it because I new it would be wrong to do so. She doesn't have the same sarcastic sense of humor I have.
It's not that in the past I haven't felt praying for people doesn't make any difference one way or the other. I'm pretty sure that's how I felt even back in my JW days though that was a long time ago and it is hard to remember exactly what I thought back then. The thing is now in the age of social media I see the "praying for you" or I'll pray for you" comments so often that when there is a bad outcome to the situation its more in my face than it was before.
Just wondering what others think on this subject.
I'm praying that Outlaw will see this and have a comment :)
